AKZO NOBEL APPOINTS SUCHETA GOVIL AS GLOBAL HEAD OF MARKETING

AkzoNobel has appointed Sucheta Govil as the new Global Head of Marketing for the company’s Decorative Paints business. Based in Slough in the UK, she will officially take up the position on January 1. Prior to PepsiCo., Sucheta (46) was employed by GlaxoSmithKline, where she also worked in the UK as part of the Strategic Category Management Group.

She joins AkzoNobel from PepsiCo., where her last role was as VP Innovations and New Business for the Asia, Middle East and Africa division (AMEA). Her main responsibilities included setting the long-term strategy for innovation and portfolio transformation across the foods and beverages segment in the critical markets of China, India, Australia, south-east Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
